Learning to Walk

Have you ever watched a child learn to walk for the first time?

It’s actually one of the cutest things ever. They sort of waddle, shining this huge smile on their face. Then they stumble and fall, and their face gets this adorable look of confusion. It’s what’s after the fall that is so spectacular. They struggle, stand back up, and try again.

It’s almost as if it is in our nature to pick ourselves up when we fall. It’s in our nature to learn from our falls and try again.

Eventually, walking becomes second nature to the child.

Eventually, our falls become nothing more than things we’ve learned from and moved past.
